Company Description Hunt & Harvest is a multi-facted, fast-paced, innovative, high-end catering and specialty prepared food business located in Millbrook, NY. Our company is devoted to making and selling the best food possible, using ingredients from within our region and only of top quality. We are looking for a visionary Pastry Chef who can take our currentpastry & bread program and scale it up as our business grows.This position is ideal for a qualified individual with experience in catering and who understands and appreciates excellence. This position is also well suited for someone looking to let their creativity lead them and contribute to a collaborate environment. Job Description This is a hands-on position in which you will work with the Chefs de Cuisine and the Provisions Retail Manager on a daily basis to create a vibrant, friendly, and creative environment. You must have a passion for high-quality food. Previous experience strongly preferred but will train the right person. Responsibilities Assist Chef de Cuisines in planning and executing catering events of various sizes Supervise kitchen staff and ensure smooth operations during events Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and high-quality menu offerings for the Provisions retail store Manage food preparation, presentation, and delivery to meet client expectations Oversee inventory control and ordering supplies Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain a high standard of performance Requirements Culinary degree or equivalent certification Strong leadership and organizational skills Creative and adaptable to diverse culinary preferences Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations Able to lift 50 lbs and spend 8 hours walking and standing in a kitchen environment Compensation Compensation commensurate with experience.
